by Scott Manchester On Wednesday, Feb. 19, the dependent Giants met the A Company Vandals in the team's fifth softball game. The Giants led for two and a half innings, but the Vandals took over. At the end of the third inning the score was 7-5, and the dependents were on their way to losing again. The final score was 17-9, Vandals. The Giants record is no wins and five losses, but as I said last week, they |
get better all the time. The Kagnew swim team held their second postal meet last Wednesday against the Sequoia Swim and Tennis Club team in California. Each of the teams had their meets at 5:00 p.m. Feb. 19, and then mailed their times to each other. Carlton Murashige, Jeff Lambert, Robert Kingston, and Joe Keefe comprised the 100 meter relay team, which posted 59.9 seconds. Joe Keefe took the 100 m. freestyle with 1:16.4 for the 13 and 14 year |
olds. Carlton Murashge turned in a 1:22.7
for the same event in the 15-17 age group. Judy Shearon turned in 47.8
for the 25-meter breaststroke, and 22.7 for the 25 meter butterfly.
Times for the other team should arrive by the time this paper goes out.
Also last Wednesday, an assembly was held for grades 9 through 12. Mr.
