HHC Hot Line

Last weekend RHO had an Exodus to the Promised Land. Just where the Promised Land lay no one knows, but a lot of guys gave a good try at finding it. Most of the guys tried to find it in Massawa or Keren. Other places were also featured in the search but they were far less popular. Statistically, here is how the main resort areas lined up for the weekend. Thirty-six guys were lured to Massawa, pearl of the Red Sea, twelve went to Keren, picturesque village nestled in rugged mountains (or rugged village nestled in picturesque mountains, suit your taste), and six captured the spirit of Axum, ghost of the past. All others went to Miscellaneous Places, scattered like silver pebbles on the sands of time. Among these places was the village of Mekele and the halfway house. Although no one really found the Promised Land, the Exodus was generally a success. Of course those who stayed behind cannot be forgotten. Ask any of them where they were for the weekend and they probably could not remember.

The company boasts two new men this week. They are SSG Gurrman Kennedy who was actually here before most of us, and PFC Robert Garland who still cannot believe he is really here. The company also had some well deserved promotions last week. Dan Wickman, Dennis Croucher, Robert Pont. briand, Donn Elliott, David Callier, and Charles Broome are now SP4. Next week watch for "The Company Tour of Axum," starring Kenneth Gadbois, tour guide. Did anyone see the film "Night of the Iguana?"
