AADS will hold carnival for Kagnew tomorrow
The Student Council of the Asmara American Dependent School is sponsoring a "Roaring Twenties" carnival tomorrow from 11 am. to 6 p.m. All classes, grades 6 through 12 are participating, with proceeds from various booths going to finance class and activity projects for the school year. This will be the second consecutive year for the school carnival, last year sponsored by the Gnu's Paper. If the established precedent for high quality entertainment is maintained this year, the program will be another smashing success. Twenty-three booths are planned this year, ranging from the Seniors White Elephant sale to the Freshmen's Baloon Throw. Food and rcfreshments will be available to off-set energy expended at the many skill and chance game booths. Community support of this activity is highly encouraged. Not only does the carnival provide entertainment for the community but it also stands as an experience for the students, an introduction to the free-enterprise system of capitalism. Do not miss it.
